Encounter – Experience – Enrich

Are you ready to trade the classroom for the enclosure? Our Keeper Apprentice programme is a brand-new experience designed specifically for those who are serious about discovering what it takes to work in a zoo. This isn't a day for games or crafts—this is a day of real, hands-on husbandry.

As an Apprentice, you’ll step into the boots of our keeping team. You’ll be responsible for the 'behind-the-scenes' essentials: preparing complex diets, scrubbing habitats, and assisting with vital welfare checks. You will get dirty, you will work hard, and you will gain an authentic understanding of animal care and conservation. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and make a difference, the team is waiting for you.

Best for: Aspiring zookeepers, hard workers, and hands-on learners.

Includes: Diet preparation, enclosure cleaning, welfare monitoring, and technical enrichment.
